Huge Pants, Little Tops

Big Girl Pants

Karla Deras of Karla's Closet keeps it effortlessly sexy as she always does with a light weight fabric and tiny bralette.

Similar silhouette from solestruck.com, only the pants are heavier, baggier and boxier, which blances out the bare midriff. The pants are rolled up and weighted down by a fat platform to keep the proportions flattering. Love the underwear showing, too.

Leave it to Leandra Medine of themanrepeller.com to keep the look classic yet surprising during Paris fashion week. She has these bulky trousers rolled up with a strappy nude heel which adds a feminine touch, like the stomach showing in the other pictures, but she wears a boxy cropped top instead. She has a way of rocking over-sized and masculine-looking clothes in a way that looks effortless, but supremely feminine.

I love how this pair is almost a classic denim flare, but is made more fashionable in the light wash and enormous flare. The long sleeve lace shirt with the bra showing through is the girly-girl's solution to the big pants outfit. Photo by Phil Oh from streetpeeper.com at Milan fashion week.

This image is my absolute favorite, taken from streetpeeper.com by Phil Oh of a woman named Daiane Conterato. The shade, weight, distressing and fit of these pants are all absolutely perfect. It is so easy and chic with the trouser crotch and simply belt, that she just paired it with a simple cotton top and looks so put together, not sloppy. I would die for these pants, such a perfect pair for playing around with proportions.

One must be reminded of Aaliyah rocking this look, appropriating menswear with little tops and a hot set of abs, before it was thing...She is the O.G. of the boyfriend jean!!
